Petition to have Oil and Gas Sites file TRIs

In case you missed it on Friday 1/3/2014 - EPA published the receipt of a petition to include Oil and Gas Extraction Industries in the definition of those sites required to file a Toxic Release Inventory (TRI).  The petition was filed by the Environmental Integrity Project and 16 other Organizations.

If EPA's approach for TRI to the O&G extraction is anything like the mining industry (i.e. waste rock)this will be a litigious regulatory battle.
